I've been looking at the photos of the flooding in England. In most of the pictures of cars submerged in water, all the car windows are down!!! Why? Is that so the car won't float away? I think it'd be better to leave the windows up so the water can't get inside, but are you supposed to leave your windows down

Or maybe they had to open their windows to escape?
