What are your favorite and least favorite words? Any reasons why?

Least favorite:  problematic.  Because it is overused, imprecise, and especially because that lack of precision is itself problematic.

Favorite:  excalciate.  Because it's a verb meaning "to remove shoes from."  Isn't it awesome that there's actually a word that means "to remove shoes

Okay. I'll play. Least favorite: orientate. Because orient was already a perfectly functional verb. This is an example of overstuffing the language. Current favorite: titillate. Because it sounds dirty and isn't.
