After the intense Triffy spell I decided to take a couple of days off work. I couldn't face doing any magic until I recharged a little. I realised I hadn't seen Dawn for a couple of weeks; she'd been at college for a while now and I wanted to see how she'd settled in.

I picked up the phone and dialled.
"Dawnie," I said. "It's Tara. How are you, sweetie?"

The phone rang a couple times before the sound penetrated my thoughts. Rising up from where I was curled up on the chaise, where I had been looking out of the window of my room, having been carried away by my thoughts.

"Hello?" I answered the phone in a soft tone, the tone of my voice rising a bit when I heard the familiar voice on the other end.

"Tara! Hi!" I said quite happily. It had been what seemed like forever since I had spoken with her.

"I'm doing great. How have you been?" I inquired while walking back to the chaise, curling my legs under me as I settled down on it once more. Nothing wrong with making myself nice and comfy while I chatted with Tara.

"O-oh, I'm ok," I said. "Busy. W-we did this really big spell to help a girl called Triffy. I think it worked, so I-I'm happy about that." I curled my fingers around the phone and bit my lip. "Otherwise, it's been quiet. Willow's still in America... I... I haven't heard from her in a while," I confessed after a while.

"That's great Tara, I'm sure the spell did work on Triffy and she will be just fine now." I said a bit positively, well Tara was a powerful witch so I was certain her spell would be effective and lasting.

"Hey, want to grab something to eat. Maybe at the cafeteria?" I made the suggestion as I had a feeling Tara might be wanting to talk to someone. I had noted the tone of her voice when she mention Willow and I knew she missed her terribly. I know I had just returned from having tea at Ethan and Ieuan's, but that was pretty much all I had, a mug of tea and one of the muffins they served with it and right now I was starting to get hungry.
