I have decided to leave SMC in September. I put in my notice yesterday and then immediately got bronchitis! I'm on antibiotics now, so no big whoop. Thailand was so much fun! Dress conservatively, though, or else it will be assumed that you're a sex worker, and no good will come of that. And if you're looking for surgeons, my surgeon Dr. Suporn is there in Chonburi, and his work is the world standard. Umm.. also, enjoy the Thai Iced Tea (it's this weird bright orange non-alcoholic drink, which I am somewhat obsessed with), and all the yummy Thai food.

Also, visas are generally only for 30 days there. So if you plan on staying longer, you have to apply for a special type of visa, either before you go or once you get there. And don't worry when the TV starts saying there's been a coup; Thai coup d'etats are very relaxed, I had my surgery during one.

The south of Thailand has a lot of tension between Muslims and Buddhists, with some instances of bombings, so be aware.

Aaaaaand, that's about the extent of my Thailand knowledge.
