The Gout thing reminds me that Facebook keeps throwing ads up to me about looking for candidates for a Gout Study. Maybe this is why I've been seeing all of those ads, mmmm?
Also, I put up a new Journal entry, concerning Farmer's Markets and gardens. I know you do both, so I'm interested in your thoughts.
Gout is really rotten stuff. I don't recommend getting it, if you can possibly avoid it.
Of course the consensus of a lot of what i've read seems to say you should eat a LOT of vegetables, greens & other colors, which tends to alkalinize your body, in addition to a reasonable amount of protein and avoiding things like grains. Which sounds oddly familiar. And supported by orange juice helping nip a flareup in the bud.
Not sure if you're part of the Gouty Club, but if you can avoid getting flareups you'll be MUCH better off.....
