I found a job as a librarian aid. Once I get my paycheck I'll finally be able to buy some clothes besides this two-piece hospital gown get-up. I'm getting freaking sick and tired of laundering it every day ( Read more... )

We get by because we have to. As much as the rest of us hate this situation, we're given no choice but to adapt. At least we humans are good at adapting.

Anyway, I'm glad to hear you got yourself a job. Come to think of it, I haven't been to the library in ages -- I should probably stop by and see if anything else has come in.

I was afraid that would be the answer. *sighs, but looks like she gets it*

I'll be able to help you out better once I learn the selection more thoroughly. What kind of literature are you interested in?

Mostly sci-fi and nonfiction science books, though the selection for the latter here is behind my times, unfortunately. At least, it was the last time I checked. Other than that, I'd be interested in some martial arts books, both fiction and nonfiction.

You started working for the library? I'm a librarian aid as well. The books there are certainly interesting, aren't they?

Oh, right - my name is Izuru.

It's nice to meet you, Izuru; I'm Nenene.

How long have you been working here?

Just for about two months. It's relatively easy to get used to the library and its layout, though.

I'll do my best...

*silent for a moment*

I'm sorry, but I'm kind of curious; what kind of kimono are you wearing? It kind of looks like funeral clothes.

Librarian aid, eh?

I definitely suits you. You're lucky to find a job like that.

As for your second concern, I have no answer for you. We all live how we must, whether in our frustration or anger.

Well, at least I've found something to do. I kind of like it at the library.

..."Suits me"? I wonder.

((OOC: *It. That could have ended poorly. >>))

Yep. Not everyone gets the chance to work in a place they like.

Rest assured, Miss, you aren't powerless. Quite the contrary: your ability to take the initiative is astonishing... as is your beauty.

But not to worry! For I, Sanji, will do everything in my power to assist you.

Would you mind telling me your name, Miss?
