A slow - but steady - decline of SGU

Oct 06, 2010 10:58

Seriously, as little as I post here, I don't want my LJ to become an outlet for my Stargate related rants. However, as it is a sort of therapy and I am still quite disappointed (within reason) about Stargate Atlantis cancellation, here I am again.

Since I've signed up on Twitter about a month and a half ago, I've come across many interesting tweets ( Read more... )

stargate atlantis, sg-1, jewel staite, ryan robbins, twitter, stargate universe, joe flanigan, joe mallozzi

I did give them a fair chance...10 fair chances to be exact. I tortured myself with 10 first episodes waiting for some miracle to happen. Waiting for some *stargate* to happen. Nothing ( ... )

Berry, I couldn't agree more! I suffered *only* through 4 episodes. I couldn't take ANY MORE!!! And yes, I remember Mallozzi's pious rant about how we, the dedicated Stargate fans, are too dense to get "the complex beauty of SGU. Now they can shove that beauty up their beautiful asses." LOL ( ... )

Here's something to put a nice smile on your face (it definitely has put a huge grin on my face)

The newest SGU ratings: Stargate Universe - 1.070 million viewers - 0.7 HH - 0.5 A18-49

Even worse than last week's....buahahahahahahahahaha

Thanks for the news - it gave me a chuckle ;) Wow! That's really low. With ratings like that, SGU won't last much longer... Too bad cast & crew will be out of their jobs, because the writers aren't doing theirs. From what I hear, the stories are thin, the villains pathetic, and most of all it's NOT Stargate. No wonder so few people are tuning in.

I wonder how Mr. Mallozzi will spin this.

Yes, I think you are right, Gem. I think they are endorsing it, because they're friends with some cast/crew members. I know your werewolf is quite chummy with David Blue.

And yes, they won't convince me either.

I couldn't agree more with all of you. As I said in my LJ, JM is "climbing on mirrors" desperately trying to give us good explanations and positive and optimistic impressions about the show, hoping to convice more people to watch SGU. But desperation makes him tell just ridiculous things.
The fact that even actors who are not directly involved are promoting the show is curious indeed. And no, dedicated fans DON'T NEED a reminder at all!

*running off to your LJ to find your post*

Yes, it's desperate and ridiculous how Mallozzi keeps insisting that SGU is the BEST thing since sliced bread & even better that any other SG show ever were! Which is plainly BS. And the way he gets his boxers in a knot over how negative fans are just proves he's full of it.
