IMO, it's a willy-waving thing; you've told them how well and how high your consultees peed on the tree, so they have to show that *they* can pee higher. Even if it's not *actually* higher, or better, or stinkier.
Anti-testosterone drugs in the water, and reversing tablets on prescription for those who prove themselves tolerable, is my suggestion.
