I love how you used color layers, because that's something I can never quite grasp, so this was a big help to understanding and stuff. :)

Awesomeness! But yeah, color layers tend to be the ones that take forever to understand. In the end, I just use them to enhance the lighting of the image as opposed to duplicating base layers and everything: it's a lot simpler and more hands on, and you have more control over what it brings out with the right color.
