(Okay, something was wrong. Chen could have sworn the couch was bigger last night. She remembered being able to roll around on it without falling off, though that has somehow managed to change.

Was she back to her regular form?

Wait, nope. Still had paws. Maybe next time. Instead, Chen spotted a noticeably larger Gat standing outside the house. Inquisitive instincts make the cat hop through the window (which must have also gotten smaller) to confront this growing problem. I are pun master )

I didn't know CASTs can grow in size. You really are becoming Hisou Tensoku!

[Gat turns and looks back towards Chen-very carefully, since this constant growth is making it a challenge to not trample something underfoot.]

No, but I'm not supposed to grow anymore... (The lawn was rapidly getting smaller, only just now realizing that she might have been growing like Gat was...crap.)

[Gat steps back a little to give the growing kitty some room on the lawn. He glances up and around at the adjacent streets, now that he's starting to clear the rooftops..]

... I think I see a few other folks in th' same predicament as we are.

Whoa... Gat, is that you? Eek! [You might have no idea where that really quiet voice came from at first.

It could have come from anywhere, maybe something far away, or from something on the street. Nothing seems amiss though, unless you can spot that tiny speck next to a building wall.]

[Gat pauses mid-stride, one foot hovering off the ground. This is where it pays to have a good audio sensor suite. He checks underfoot for a second, hoping he didn't crush his "daughter" by accident ... nope, nothing.]

[Let us say, for comedy's sake, that Dakki already went on her morning run before Gat and Chen got HUGE.

Let us also say, for comedy's sake, that Gat forgot his lunch because he was huge! Thus, Dakki has strolled on down to the firehouse to bring it to him. Yes, she's aware that there are... big... everythings all over town, but it hadn't occurred to her that Gat would be one.

Until she's about a block away and can see his head poking up from between the buildings.]

Uh...

[By the time she's actually AT the firehouse, she's grinning sheepishly, holding that lunch box up.]

I... don't think this is going to cut it, today. Do you?

[Gat looks down ... all the way down to see Dakki standing there with the lunch box. Oh jeez, he knew he forgot something in all this confusion. Not like it would do him any good now!]

No, I reckon it wouldn't, heh.

[Carefully, Gat tries to stoop to one knee so that he can talk to Dakki with a slightly less drastic difference in eye level. It takes him a couple of seconds to do so, given there's so much stuff lying around and he could easily kick a hole into the fire house or knock the engine over.]

I ain't enjoyin' it all that much. Everything seems a whole lot more fragile, bein' this tall.

It's th' strangest thing, though ... I don't feel much different. It's almost like th' world was scaled down to me rather than gettin' any bigger. I reckon it shouldn't be this easy to scale a fella up several times his usual height.
