I'm a fellow NaNoWriMo player from the Philippines. I just joined the event this year, and I'm still a bit shakey, but I'm having lots of fun attacking this thing. Saw your novel excerpt off the site, and it's FUCKING COOL! I can't see how you can write like that (if the novel is even consistent), i mean, I just make stuff up as I go along.

Anyway, hope we can be friends so I can fucking read Everyman's Journey when it's done (oh please please!)

But as a heads up, as I don't think you know, the story is about the Islamic Reserection. So far, the snip you've seen is the most violent I've done -- although there will be other sections, um, blacker in texture.
There will also be sections that are much lighter in tone. And I use a great deal of humor.

because it doesn't matter what the theme or subject is, as long as it's written well.

i for one favor lots of action, violence, horror, and mystery.

but i don't think i write very well. yet.
i can make things sound interesting though, so that's cool.

IMHO, making things sound interesting is more important than writing well.
Writing well is a technical skill, that will come with time.
