Inspirations?

As one of my last-minute preparations for NaNo, I pulled out and dusted off my battered and ancient ex-library copy of Robert Heinlein's "The Door into Summer," which I plan to keep propped on my computer table here until I hit the goal mark or until I go down in flames in my valiant attempt ( Read more... )

The novel where I got my LJ name, Vladimir Nabokov's Ada, full of rich and beautiful and berry-like words. I love dipping my hands into it and them coming out all crimson and purpled.

It helps even when I'm doing academic work-- like I will be this year.
