A day for gunpowder and treason, certainly, but mostly plot. Or no plot. Word around these parts is that's no problem.

His bluff failed completely, however, as he was abruptly checked by the stranger’s forearm striking him square across the chest with a shocking impact.

BTW, just passed 11,000. Doing much better than expected for my first NaNo. How's everyone else doing?

I wrote 2300 words today, which means I am back on track for the regular daily goal. XD

I'm a really, really slow writer.

I hit midnight with nearly at 10,000 words, so I'm approximately a day ahead. But wow, that is really awesome, especially for a first NaNo! Keep it up!! :)

Would you all kill me now if I told you I passed 16,000 this afternoon?

And I intend to write more tonight, after a mandatory viewing of "The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus." But that's only because what I write tonight will end up being *tomorrow's* post, since I'll be too occupied with Other Things during the day to hope to have any writing time on the morrow.
