WOW!!! I just did a little experiment. My wordcount in Corel Word says that I have written 18,453 words. I plugged the file into the progress meter...and it came up with 21,253!!!!! talk about a big difference. I think I am going to stick with my Corel, though. It is probably better to be over and not know it, than to be under and not know.
