Quinn’s eyes got wide, and in a flash his hand reached out and snatched the sidearm out of Robinson’s belt holster. In one fluid movement, he rolled to his side, aimed and fired six shots past Robinson’s head. The medic fell backwards, stunned by the shots and the muzzle flashes. Both Adams and Bryant jumped at the sounds behind him, then aimed their weapons down the roadway. A dozen yards down the embankment, the shooter stood alongside the twisted railing, the rifle slipping from his hands and clattering to the roadway. He wobbled for a moment, face wide with surprise, before slumping over the railing, tumbling down the embankment and landing in a bloody heap.
“Master…” I softly whispered. “I-I-I don’t want anymore of those lessons. I regret hurting you the way I did all those days ago. I will gladly be your willing slave if it means that I don’t get beaten like that again. I was afraid, scared, angry and terrified about not just losing my freedom and becoming a slave, but how much I was enjoying what you were doing to me afterwards. I’ll do anything no matter how distasteful to prove my loyalty to you.”
“Don’t worry about that right now pet.” My Master said gently cuffing my ears. “I don’t want to hear anything more from you about this. We will discuss this when you are healed. One thing I can promise you is that your ‘lessons’ will continue if you aren’t light on your paws, quick to learn, fail to obey warnings and the like. Not to mention you will still get lessons whether you need them or not depending on my mood.”
