naoIf you have come across my journal, you are probably one of the following people:
- Someone who is in or has seen me around in communities on LJ and has found me interesting enough to follow to my journal.
- Someone who is in or has seen me around in communities on LJ and has found me unlikable enough to follow to my journal.
- Someone I know in the offline world who has found out about my LJ somehow and is trying to delve into my private life. (Hah! But if you have LJ I will probably add you.)
- A stalker who has the URLs to all my online social profiles.
- Someone who has found me through interest-searching on LJ.
If you are any of the above, save 4, please comment and I will probably add you.
I'm an Asian girl living in Toronto, Canada. I'm not good at describing myself, so let's let online Meyers-Briggs personality typing tests tell you for me! I am, at the time of writing this, 19 years old, but this is certain to change within less than a year. For future reference, my year of birth is 1992. I go by Nao, or Nana.
I'm not hugely into fandom. The only fandoms I participate in are Avatar, Pokemon, and Harry Potter, each to varying degrees. I also like football, especially the German national team. I like discussing language, culture and race. I speak English and can get by in French, Chinese, and Japanese. Feel free to communicate with me in any of those languages (although I'm not sure I can actually respond in Chinese). I'm also learning German. I like looking at pictures of food and the feeling of sore muscles after exercise.
My journal is mostly written in English although I'll often post about my endeavours in various foreign languages. It's recommended your browser is able to display various Unicode characters for different languages so that you won't see ugly squares everywhere. I post a lot about my daily life, often with photos. I have strong opinions about social justice. I welcome polite critical discussion, but am not here to educate people in my private journal. I post once in a while about fandom, but not frequently, and prefer LJ friends who don't post only about fandom. I update anywhere from 3 times a day to 3 times a month, and love comments.
If I comment on your journal entries even once in a while, I probably read all of them. I only defriend people after long periods of inactivity or not feeling connected.
