I guess the fairy wasn't in the first anime ep? (all I saw was the first ep - which I should be more familiar with given it's the first show I was editor for the fansubs for)
lol she was naked and behind bars in Rei's crazy dream XD;
thanks for editing btw, because the fansubs were my first brush with this series that I am now 100% diehard for. anime hooked me, the novel just killed me, so good.
I'm on it BB, I'm not posting any new photos until I get ycon and pmx cleared, but if you want unedited batches I can do that too, warning they suck w/o some lighting editing D: and I have to work on not making ppl laugh too much during shoots gsoidfh;asjbf;

my bad, I replied (from my phone) thinking u were talking about catcher in the rye, not yukikaze XD ignore earlier rply sry
the ending made me angry until I realized there were sequals. Yukikaze in the book was just so less human than in the OAV :( still, I loved the narrative in the novel. I'd love to read his other scifi, though I am partial to flight drama

Oh, okay. Yeah, the ending was a bit abrupt, although all of the chapters are sort of like that, since they were originally published as serial works. That's why each chapter seems to reintroduce all of the characters; you have to view Yukikaze as a series of short stories, not as a complete novel.
As for how I found this LJ, well, it was basically a vanity search for me. Ever since Yukikaze came out, I've wanted to see what the reaction was, since how well this book is received will determine if the other two novels get picked up by Viz. Yukikaze was the first novel I've ever translated professionally, so I was interested in how an actual fan was reacting to it.

have you had actual flight training/research? I'm just saying that I think Yukikaze may have been even MORE of a challenge for translators because of all the aviation language. I've had to take the military flight aptitude tests in the past, and I think that's what got me through a lot of the visualizing for all the aerial scenes XD; kind of just side note
