Fan Artwork

Mar 24, 2007 22:58

I think I'll link to some of the artwork I have done for Harry Potter fandom. This is in order of when I had put them up, starting with March 14, 2004 to now. So, without further ado...

Title: Drunken Sirius
Rating: PG
Comments: The line art was not done by me, but by someone on elfwood, and can be found on http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/fanq/s/a/sand2/drunk.jpg.html, done by C. Sanders. (with her permission of course) I thought I'd give a try and color because when I first saw the line art, I had to color it. ^^ Color was done in photoshop. Gaussian blur is my friend.

Title: Character face shots
Rating: G
Comments: I've drew a lot of characters in this one anime-style. I used gel pen and then colored with prisma color pencils. I hope you enjoy looking at each one of them.

Title: Malfoy in the fall
Rating: G
Comments: I drew this and then scanned. But it wouldn't scan the entire body of him and it scanned the line art like you see as it is. But I thought that it was really interesting so I kept that angle shot and did the coloring with Photoshop. I forgot how long this took me but I love him!

Title:  Girls of Hogwarts
Rating: G
Comments: Used gel pen (not pencil) then colored in Paint Shop Pro. Took me nearly a week to finish this and I rather like the finished piece.

Title:  Lurvely Portrait
Rating: G
Comments: I'm so glad I sent this to my friend in an e-mail or I'd have lost it forever. So I can't exactly fix the blurs on the image. Buth otherwise, it's taken me over a week (with bros hogging the computer) to finish coloring on the computer. Done with Paint shop pro and I like how it had turned out. It's me with Harry, and Remus with a friend of mine, Jenny.
Character: Self-inserts, Harry, Remus

Title:  Boys of Hogwarts
Rating: G
Comments: I seem to increase the amount of faces that I work on, on a single sheet. The first one I did had around 10, the Girl of Hogwarts has 20 and this one is nearly double that. I like how the background had turned out. I especially like Dudley's scared face. This piece has 8 layers, much less than the girl of Hogwarts, wich had the face of their own layers. So, this one wasn't as consuming as the girls was. Odd considering that this one took much less time than the girls. Anyway, I think I'll start focusing on one characters from then on now that I've done faces of each character that I can think of. Oh by the way, I know the file is large but if I make it any smaller, the details wouldn't be much appreciated. As for the KB size, it goes for the same. I apologize, but according to estimates, at the very least, it will be 56 seconds on 28 kps. But I assure you, it will worth the time to look at it.

Title:  Marauding in the Night
Rating: G
Comments: I drew the line art back in November/December and decided that I liked the piece a lot, so I colored. I used both Photoshop 7 and Paint Shop Pro. Photoshop for the pen tool and the coloring/shading in the paint shop. How long it took me? I don't even want to know. ^^; Anyway, I've really enjoyed playing with this piece as I had picked up some techniques over the past few months with a friend of mine. Also, I would love to have some constructive criticisms.
Character:  James, Pettigrew, Remus, Severus and Sirius

Title:  Ron and Sara
Rating: G
Comments: This is my friend and Ron in some classroom, lol. Anyway, I enjoyed drawing this one and coloring was a lot of fun. Used both photoshop and paint shop pro, again, photoshop for pen tool and filling in colours, paintship was to do the shadowing. Overall time: about ten hours I guess.
Character: Friend and Ron

Title:  In the Mourn
Rating: PG
Comments: It's been forever [Two years later in fact] since I did a Harry Potter fanart, and this is the first official HP fanart I did. I am rather pleased by the image. This is a part of the series of drawings that I did for each Year of the book, kinda. Did this with graphite, cleaned up in photoshop. Time, probably an hour and half of drawing.
Character:  Harry and a tomb

Title:  Through the Potter Years
Rating: G
Comments: I wanted to draw where Harry ages through out the year, starting with him before he even knew about his wizardry heritage. All of the images are 'before' the next year, so I hope that made sense. If not, then I'm sorry. XD Time to draw, two hours at the most. Cleaned it up in photoshop.
Character: Harry

Title:  Goodbye Voldemort
Rating: PG
Comments: Another part of the series of Potter Years that I did. I wanted to draw a scene that is very likely in the final book, Deathly Hallows. I realize that I made him much, much older, but it's only because I'm tired of seeing Harry drawn as being very young when he should be aging. So that's why he looks much older than he really looks. I like it. Time to draw, probably an hour or less. Cleaned it up in Photoshop with Harry Potter font (and Katrika font for the comma).
