So, I'm sitting in Qufim with my level 22 Black Mage waiting for a party invite - how drab! I want to level Black Mage to 25 so that when I hit level 50 with White Mage I'll be able to do my Genki 1 without any problem. Currently, my White Mage is at level 41, hence the needing to level my subjob. Yesterday I completed Rank Five and got my airship

i'm being a nub here but cant be assed to log in to ask my {linkshell} - you only need to do Genkai *once* and that allows all jobs over level cap, yah?

Actually, there are a few Genkais >.>
Genkai 1 50-55
Genkai 2 56-60
Genkai 3 61-65
And there's either one or two more. Anyways, you have to do a Genkai mission a couple of times to keep raising your level cap. It's lame.
