I have been going through a lot within the last few months. I've begun to question a lot of things in my life. Things like my beliefs, morals, values etc. I feel like my whole life I have only been living a Christian life because I was raised in a Christian home and it is how I've been taught to live. Now I’m not saying I don’t believe in God

Ok, so I am here to give you thee OTHER SIDE of life. We all know I am not a fan of religion. And to point out things, things you have posted. Religion is full of closed-minded people. People who do not think of the reality of life, and base everything on "the word of God". Well, I stopped believing in the word of god when I started doing this stupid thing...it's called THINKING FOR MYSELF. As I have talked to you at work, you are different then normal, and I think it's because your starting to think for yourself. Hope you don't take to much offence to my comment, but in seriousness, if you don't make your own rules, then what is the point

i don't think of it as me not thinking for myself. for me to live for God is a choice i am making. The bible is what I believe is truth, so yes i am going to live by it and set my rules based on what it says. i think what i was trying to get across is that i'm sick of people telling me what the bible says about certain issues and how i should live, i am going to read it and study it for myself so i can live how i think God wants me to live, not how others tell me God wants me to live...if that makes any sense? now when you said that when i make a mistake i would "cost me heaven" or i would think that it would. this isn't the case at all. God isn't a God who allows you into heaven because of the good deeds you've done. "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith- and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast" Ephesians 2:8-9

Wow. I never thought I would read anything like that coming from you. I always pictured you as the type of person who would never question their beliefs. I agree with you, however, that it is frustrating when Christians hurt others in many different ways. I personally don't think that God cares as much about us partying and whatnot as long as we respect ourselves and everything else that He created (including animals and whatnot). As for God talking to you, you know that He reveals everything in His own time, it has nothing to do with how good a Christian you are or anything like that. Just keep praying and He will show you what is real and what isn't. Peace out girly!

i know wht oyu mean when you say there are things with churches nowaday, that are weird and make you frustrated and mad, but they are hard to pinpoint

everything you siad is basically everything that i am going through. and i find it extremely hard to not just go back to beleiving waht i have been taught. in a way i wish i was raised in a non-christian home just so i would be able to make up my own mind about things. but given the circumstances i will just have ot put myself to work at discovering the real truth. ttyl darlin
