so it's always been my dream that when i turned 18 i was going to go be a big sister. i thought it would be a huge eye opening experience and also change the life of a little girl who is in desperate need of a female role-model in her life. so today i called the big sister place and found out that i can't be a big sister because it takes 6 months

that sucks about the wait. when you really want to do something good for humainity you don't want to have to wait for legalistic stuff to come down. i can sort of see a time gap in which it would take to match you up but six months is a little ridiculous. i agree. but two thumbs up on wanting to help out the less fortunate.
