Just wanted to say that I'm a new reader of Clarkesworld and that I enjoyed listening to your stories therein. I've been writing for years but am new to reading and writing in the "slipstream" or fantasy or scifi or whatever you want to call the genre. So, I've been on the lookout for writers/stories that feel like a way in for me, a non-dude and non-traditional writer/reader of the genre. I like the distinctive voice/narrator of each your two stories in Clarkesworld and all of the great, specific details. It's encouraging to me to see that slipstream might incorporate traditionally feminine and non-scifi tropes, such as a food blog in So Much Cooking, and that even when a protagonist is a disembodied AI, as in Cat Pictures, that sensory details matter.
Cheers.

I read it at lunchtime, and different phrases ran through my head all afternoon. So of course I had to go back and re-read it whenever I had a free moment. I think I've read it three times today. Every time it makes me smile and cry and then smile again.
