Possession of Excessive Greenery

They really are the best pickles ever. We went out and bought a case. If Victory Gardens came to town every week, we'd probably wind up spending half our disposable income on pickles.

So, cook the kale separately, huh? I have tried it the other way, and yes, the flavor was Too Strong Really. I'll have to keep that in mind.

I have a shockingly delicious kale tip: make Kale Crisp. Wash it, and chop it to bits the size of, oh, your thumbnail. Throw it on a baking pan (with edges to prevent loss) that has been coated with olive oil, sprinkle it with salt, and bake it in a 400 degree oven, stirring and watching it carefully as it steams away, and after a while (depends on how much you have: a big head may take twenty minutes), it becomes a delicious, crunchy texture. Not chewy at all, super-snacky. Astoundingly righteous for a vegetable I usually consider only appropriate for ornamenting displays of raw fish.
