So, it's been a week-and-a-half at the new job now, and I still haven't finished shifting gears.  A typical work day consists of me working furiously (like I would at my old job) for 2 or 3 hours, then send out some emails and piddle about for the rest of the day.  At first, my piddlling felt somewhat productive because I was using the time to ( Read more... )

Yeah, I'm really lucky that this group of people here have become a good team since we've been working Sats together!

What about the new/old job? Isn't there a group of people there? I mean, yeah, not going to replace the relationships you had, but it is at least something.

I don't cope well with downtime, good luck adjusting!

Oh, there are a ton of great people at the new (old) job. My office door was basically filled for the first week with people passing by welcoming me back (and there is still a trickle of people still finding out and stopping by). It was a big reason for going back there (as opposed to finding a new-new job that might pay a bit more).

WHOOT! I'm glad you are somewhere less stressful with good people....now, you just need to steal all the people you like and bring them over. :P
