I think I understand a little of how you feel. I too was terrified to have children, thought I would turn out like my dad. I was convinced for a long time that I would be alternately a mean nasty mommy, and a marshmallow like my mom ( ... )

I am a mother, not the best, not the worst, but a mother none the less.. and no matter how much I screw up or get things wrong my daughter of 4 still thinks I can heal wounds and relieve pain with a kiss. shes 4 and I know a day will come when she hates me but I know how I feel about my mom now and a day will come when she knows I tried again.. so don't be afraid you can fall many times.. but a child only sees you get back up...
