Character name: Annie Eilenberg
Fandom: Atelier Annie
Timeline: Post GOOD ENDING
Age: 20.
~*Magical*~ abilities and strengths: Given the proper materials and kitchen, Annie can fuse items to make new items. ~*~alchemy~*~!!!!! Aside from that, nothing much.

How would they use their abilities?: To make money. Uh, or help people. Or whenever is convenient. Uhhh. Alchemy is a big part of her life so ENJOY YOUR RUINED KITCHEN, ROOMMATES.

Appearance: Annie is short, and doesn't age much over the 3 years of the game. Normally you'd just say yeah, because making new sprites would be way too much effort, but she looks the same even in the ending CGs.

Annie has short brown hair and grey-blue eyes. She wears boyish, unattractive clothes, and is, in fact, mistaken for a boy a few times. She also has no real curves and comments jealously that she'd dress nicer if she had a better body. She wears a hat and cape that belonged to her grandfather. She acknowledges that she dresses weird and thinks they're ugly, but doesn't take them off.

Background/Personality: Annie is lazy. All we know about her before the game began was that she napped a lot and her dream was the "marry up" into money and never have to work hard. But of course her parents weren't too happy with that and asked her grandfather, a famously good alchemist, to do something.

So he has minions kidnap her in the night and carry her bed across the sea to Sera Island. Sera Island is undergoing a renovation project to turn it into a tourist location! Mainly this will be done by alchemists, and in the end there'll be a winner - whoever did the most for the project will be dubbed Meister.

Also the winner gets to marry the prince or princess.

So Annie, with a fairy to teach her alchemy, vows to work hard for the three year project so that she'll never have to work hard again!!! She also has an adviser, Hans, a knight, Gillian, and some other friends.

Over the course of the game Annie pretty much just runs around gathering items and then synthesizing them into whatever she's asked to. Missions from friends, assignments for the project, or jobs for the guild. Blah blah blah. She also opens up new attractions! Hotels, Spas, Beaches, Amusement parks, Parks, Theaters, Museums, Bakeries, Aquariums, etc. She manages them all flawlessly, and bonds with the various inhabitants of the island over the course of three years.

There aren't many important, life-changing events, and it's all pretty linear. We get lots and lots of interactions to reaffirm her personality, but for the most part she just grows as a person through time and through learning alchemy by itself.

So! Through those three years!

Annie begins as a lazy lazy lazy ass. She has no real friends, and doesn't seem to mind at all. She's just too lazy to go out. In a conversation with the fairy, Pepe, he comments that he's surprised she's so happy in the big crowd. She replies that it's never been that she's antisocial! She was just always too lazy to go anywhere or do anything.

There are many, many scenes in which she's napping, or trying to sneak off and take a nap. Napping is her number one hobby.

She also begins knowing nothing about alchemy. People keep being let down seeing as how her grandpa is so famous.

All Annie wants is to get lots of money and marry up into an easy life.

But despite being so lazy, she learns to love alchemy. Every time she makes things it's "Oh look how many I made!" and "Hey, alchemy is pretty fun!" And she's always very proud of herself for improving.

In general, she learns to work hard when she has to. She does missions on time and fawns over the results excitedly. She had never worked hard before, so she didn't know how rewarding it was, or how satisfying.

Basically... Annie likes to nap. She likes to lie around and do nothing. She'll try and get out of having to work, and she'll ask about the easiest way to do things. But in the end, she'll still do things the right way, on time, as best she can, and be happy and proud of the results.

Aside from her laziness, Annie is a very honest girl. At times this leads to very blunt statements that get her in trouble. There are times she goes Oh maybe I'd better not say that for the sake of self preservation! But that's pretty rare. Normally she'll blurt out whatever she's thinking.

Annie goes back and forth between being the butt of jokes and being the straight-man to her friends' idiocy. She'll call them stupid or annoying and tell them to get out of her workshop, but in the next conversation she'll say something stupid and be confused when she's called out on it, or they'll tease her for, predictably, her laziness.

She's a nice girl at heart. She's always willing to do little quests to help people, fight monsters to protect people, or use alchemy to help them out. Even though she tends to want people to acknowledge her when she's doing well or notice her good traits, she never really points this out, and seems to not really notice.

Most of the times she makes mention of people's bad traits it's more like she doesn't understand that it's a big deal. Like, to her, it's a part of who they are, so there's no need to pretend it's not or be angry about it.

Annie is very very willing to just accept people as they are whether she admits it or not. The cast is full of crazy flawed crazy people, and Annie notices as such!! But still hangs out with all of them. When they do something stupid, she gets mad, but then she lets them right back in until they do it again. She calls Kyle a creepy weirdo and tells him to get out most times he's in her workshop, but she still does missions for him, still gets to be best friends with him, still messes with him and chats with him, etc, until one of his inventions explodes.

Similarly, she's familiar with her own shortcomings. She sometimes gets excited, thinking she's good at alchemy, but that's due to not knowing any better. On subjects like fashion, appearance, strength, or, again, drive to work, she's quick to admit she's lacking. One of the item descriptions for a strength raising pill is "Perfect for a weak girl like me!"

The only person she's completely antagonistic towards is Julian, an alchemist from a famous alchemist family and blah blah alchemists. This is mostly because he seeks her out to taunt her first, then bullies Pepe in front of her - and apparently his family treats fairies like slaves.

But even with him, it's eventually pointed out that maybe he just felt awkward and wanted to be friends, and Annie is pretty okay with that idea. Even bad first impressions can be flipped with her.

Because I'm taking her from the best ending, through the three years, Annie gets to know many people from the island on a best friend basis and runs her resorts perfectly. She gives the most to the project and she becomes an amazing alchemist - especially for a beginner. She also got pretty strong and defeated quite a few monsters, most notably Ifreet, an ice wolf, and a dragon - though that was mostly Kilbert, a guard from the guild.

During the closing ceremonies, she's announced Meister and offered the prince's hand in marriage!! The prince, of course, still has complaints. In response, the king says that if anyone isn't okay with things, to speak up now! (Oddly, the prince doesn't say anything...)

Annie, although she had been working towards marrying up for three years, is one of the two to speak up. The other being Hans, who is hinted to have a crush on her throughout the game blah blah blah.

Anyway, she becomes Meister, but asks for, instead of the monetary reward and marriage, to just get to keep her workshop. She considers Sera island a home now - and seems to in all alternate endings - and doesn't want to quit alchemy or let Pepe go back to the fairy forest.

She leaves the ceremony early to stop Pepe from leaving, and everyone comes over to celebrate. \o/!!! We get more hints about Hans' crush and also it's pointed out that Annie could have still accepted the money, but didn't.

Annie is a pretty optimistic, friendly kid, despite her occasional problems with being blunt. She decides she'll win the contest right after being kidnapped to a whole new island, and immediately after, goes to give herself a friendly introduction to everyone around town.

Despite being in love with money, she's always down to help people, for example, fixing the stove at Fitz's family restaurant and leaving without getting paid. Or eating, which she had come there for. So she can also be a tad forgetful - as further exampled by forgetting to take the reward money she spent three years earning.

Have you read up on how the game works?: The network is the FlamingFerret and Annie could mooch like a lazy ass, steal, or work on missions and jobs and stuff! She will work very hard!!! She'll probably work jobs for a while and then open up an alchemy shop when she realizes she can. She would mooch if it weren't for that she doesn't know anyone haha

1st person sample:

[ For a moment there is just Annie, tinkering with the Guide. Actually, for several moments. She's never seen technology like this before. ]

This thing is crazy! What's it made of? What sort of magic does it run on? Uh, on second thought, no one explain it to me, I wouldn't get it anyway. But other people can see this, right?

[ She huffs. ]

So did anyone else get the wrong paperwork when they first arrived? They had me filed as a boy! And I didn't notice until I was like halfway through. I had to start all over! It was so tiring. I don't know how Hans does it...

Oh, speaking of which, if there's anyone from Sera Island, come find me! I'll help you get settled in. If you need anything, I'll see if I can make it for you.

... Wait, I guess I should be offering that to anyone, even if they're not from my world. That's so much work, though.

Well, if anyone needs me, come wake me up. I need to settle myself in too, and that means nap time!

[ Then like five more minutes of Annie trying to turn this thing off, oops. ]

3rd person sample:

Once she finally managed to turn the guide off, Annie flopped down on her bed. All of this world destruction business was tiring! She needed to relax, to do something to get her mind off the idea of her world being destroyed. She had only just gotten her workshop back - convinced Pepe not to go home.

She rolled around in bed for five minutes, then gave up on sleep. If she couldn't fall asleep instantly, she couldn't sleep at all. Instead she went back to toying with the Guide, curious. She didn't even understand the materials used in it, but wondered if she'd be able to synthesize it with a different trait.

"May as well try!" Annie decided, carrying it out to the kitchen. She had a few supplements with her, and the kitchen seemed to have all the tools she needed. They weren't as easy to use as the cauldron or alchemy eggs from her workshop, and spilled much easier, but it was still workable.

Hours later, the kitchen was mostly in ruins. There was a good amount of ash scattered across the counter-tops and floor, and even some unidentifiable blue spheres lying around. Annie was out of supplements, and while her Guide still seemed functional, the color of it hadn't changed at all.

"I'll clean this up later," Annie decided, blowing dust off of her Guide. With that, she went to take a nap.

Questions?: None!
