Aslan

And then there was ASLAN!!!
I am sooo happy. Hubby and i went to the Animal Shelter right before Thanksgiving to ask some questions for my Sister in Law about spay neuter programs etc...to lower her cost for her female cat spay. We decided to look at cats while we were there. I went into the room where i first saw Sinbad so many years ago and there staring out at me from the very cage that Sinbad came from was a beautiful approx: 8 month old yellow tabby...gorgeous thick fur like Sinbad's and the same exact voice. And he reached out and grabbed my shirt!!! It was like destiny. I could not resist and then the care taker said there were no adoption fees over the holidays!!! I was like OMG squeeeee. And his neuter was only 28 bucks!!! Hubby was smiling and also petting a huge headed black cat behind us and they even had a full blooded Shitzu in there which i sure hope someone adopts. Poor babies. But any way I got my yellow tabby and named him Aslan because i had whispered that name to Sinbad over a year ago and told him if i ever lost him, he would live on through another tabby with that name. Just like my Fireball lived on through him. I honestly believe that is the nine lives myth/story/legend. Love, carrying it on and believing in a kitty heaven is the key to the cat longevity. But i got Aslans rabies shot and his neuter is done. He is recovering and then Wednesday in 2 weeks he gets the rest of his shots and his total vet check. He loves to head butt like Sinbad but he has all white socks and a white bib, tail tip, and orange eyes. Sinbad had green eyes and was all light yellow. But a part of my heart is at rest now and i know my baby lives on. Spot likes him, they play together. Smokey keeps her distance but she tolerates him and knows he is young.
