I was away for a while, so while I kind of skimmed livejournal, if there's something specific you want to share, best to do so.

This was going to be a rant about the (mis)treatment of the northeast and New England in the American political system, but I'm tired.

I get amused by countries where the people know when the elections are ahead of time. ^^.

Unfixed terms was considered an example of the potential abuses of the monarchy, back in the day. As much as we're not doing that awesomely at the moment, I think Americans would react really negatively to a lot of the features of parliamentary government.
