Teaching Position: Hit Wizard Training
Gender: Female
Age: 30
Blood status: Muggleborn

Personality: Clary can easily be described as rough and rude. When people first meet her, she is rude and never interested in what they have to say. She knows that she is one of the most senior people around, and she also knows how to hurt someone if need be. Most people are scared of her before she even is able to show them that she has more than one side to her personality. Despite being gruff and able to joke around with the toughest men, Clary can also be very caring. When she is away from her husband, Tomlan, she gets restless. She loves him dearly, and if anyone were to hurt him she would take revenge at whatever the cost. She grows fond of people, even if it seems that she doesn't like them. When she makes friends with someone, yelling, swearing at them, and giving them a clunk on the head after they've done something stupid is her way of saying she was worried. She doesn't like to show that she can be soft-hearted, and will hide it no matter what the cost, excepting the rare times that one of her good friends find her missing her husband or worrying about what's to come in the future. A short woman, Clary has learned to be commanding with her voice, if not with her stature. She is loud, and can silence the loudest room with just one shout. People respect her because they know that she can hurt them if they disagree with her.

Background (AU!Canon; HP): Clary Goodwin was raised in a happy, but somewhat poor family in the lower-class neighborhoods of London. She was an only child, a rare occurance in her neighborhood. She kept up with the rest of the kids easily, despite always being the smallest in a group. Clary was tough, shoving her way to the top of the social ladder of her rank of friends using force and loud words. The year she turned eleven, however, she received a letter from a strange School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, called Hogwarts. Her parents, who Clary knew weren't magic in the least, were astounded. Of course, it would explain the magical mishaps that seemed to happen whenever Clary got mad- sinks exploding, food flying through windows...needless to say, they sent their child away to learn to control this magic before she did any serious damage. Clary was a lazy student for the first four years, her peers never understanding why she was put in Gryffindor when at first she obviously looked like she belonged in Slytherin. Clary was rude and mean, never doing her homework and rarely making friends.

But during the summer of her fourth year at Hogwarts, a run-in with a couple of Death Eaters changed her mind about how she was doing at school. When she was asked to guard their operation in a Muggle house one night, Clary agreed without a second thought. But when the mission went awry, the Death Eaters left without her, which left Clary in a heap of trouble and almost dead from an explosion that went off in the building after the two Death Eaters had left it. Lying in the bushes, half-dead, Clary promised whatever god was listening that she would change if she could just live. And to her surprise, the prayer worked. When she went back to Hogwarts as a 5th year, her whole demeanor had changed. Apparently, Dumbledore had heard about her experience, and so with her new year came a new level of responsibility: Clary was a Prefect. Despite the quails of her classmates, she took her job seriously. No longer was Clary loose with the law- she was an enforcer. her grades improved dramatically, and by the end of her tenure at Hogwarts, she was Head Girl and passed her NEWTs with All Es or Os.

After school, Goodwin trained as a Hit Wizard, the wizards and witches that chase after dangerous criminals in the Wizarding World and turn them into Azkaban for justice. She quickly learned that chasing after criminals took more than just skills with a wand. clary learned how to fight with her fists and with non-magical objects, often because the dangerous wizard she was chasing had lost their wand and had nowhere else to run. She became the best at her job, despite her short stature compared to most of her co-workers. People came to fear the name Clara Goodwin, for her ferocity and tenacity in tracking people down and bringing them to justice. She was in charge of many Hit Wizards, who respected her for her honesty and fairness. After one rather long hunt however, which included several broken bones and dangerous situations for both her and one of her partners, Clara decided that she had done enough field work, and took up Dumbledore's offer of a teaching position in Hogwarts. It was time for her to finally settle down with her faithful husband, Tomlan, and teach the next generation to do her job for her.

Clary is also dedicated to keeping people under the jurisdiction of the law. Once when she was younger, Clary was "loose," devoted to breaking the rules and just having fun. But as she's grown older and had some near-death experiences, she realized how valuable rules and order are. She will hunt down any wrongdoers and see that they are punished justly. She dislikes anyone who cannot be honest, and will tell of her past freely without shame. But Clary does know how to have fun, and can drink and gamble with the best of them. She is willing to have a good time- but after she's done hunting down the bad guys.
