This was heartbreaking. This sentence in particular made me cry: "often times will sit in his room and wail, for seemingly no apparent reason, over something as trivial as a broken shoe or a lost nail file."
Because I can see that being the only way he has of releasing his emotions. GAWD and to have Hankyung leave the next morning after their date with just a note? *wibbles*
I think this one is going to stay with me for a while. It was really painful, but really well written.
oh you have no idea how much reading this has made me smile sans sanity (that being the operative word) despite all the shitty stuff I've had to go through this past week. granted, hanchul is my ultimate bias (and my underlying weakness?) but that is simply inconsequential to my rather pathetic glued-eyes at finding GOOD fic for once. it's like foraging through a pile of sunflower seeds and finding a golden acorn. okay, excuse my feeble metaphor. but seriously, dude, I love your characterizations, the flow, the style (despite your han geng's character being a little unnaturally wicked). reading someone's writing is almost nearly akin to reading someone's personality, as little parts of themselves protrude into their words. reading this really makes me want to know a little more about you. good job, really. :)
Oh wow. I absolutely adore comments like this. No, seriously. You actually took the time to sit here and think out what you were going to say. Thank you.
Does he come off as unnaturally wicked? That wasn't my intent. I'm really quite new to Hanchul (I'm Kyuhyun biased, hah.) so I simply elaborated on what I picked up from articles and interview Han Geng's had since he left.
But really, thank you so much for this comment. I really do appreciate it. (And also, I'm always open to friends -- add me on here or my personal!)
i really love the way you ended this, that it wasn't a happy ending. heechul deserves some kind of closure and to move on, and sigh so does my broken hanchul-shipping heart. i really liked this :) the way you write has such a nice flow to it, and it reads so easily and interestingly.
I'm glad that you liked the ending. Honestly I absolutely adore unrequited, broken!Hanchul because there's so much more to work with. You can elaborate of both sides of it -- Heechul's and Hankyung's. And I'm really just sick of seeing present-day Hanchul fics with happy endings, because it's just so unrealistic. And realism is always important.
Thank you so much for reading! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
