I watched 'Things I haven't told you' by accident last night, and unusually for a random watch, I quite enjoyed it.

It's one of BBC3's series of one-off dramas, but is clearly built as a pilot episode. The whole feel is very Twin Peaks like, (with Andrew Lincoln in the Coop role - notedly speaking into a mobile phone the whole time) with a lot of ( Read more... )

So, I watched it on Virgin Catch-Up.

I liked it. I thought it had a nice aura of menace that it successfully maintained. There were some excellent set-pieces here and there and the teenagers... were actually teenagers, which I thought was a smart touch. It reminded me more than anything of the sort of kids drama series that they used to show on CBBC - the last slot before Neighbours, aimed at the mid-teen age group. They don't seem to make them anymore. Except, apparently, in primetime.
