Weekly Update 7.4

Jan 28, 2008 15:15

Missed a week. Sorry.

1. Music - Week three - purchased Priestess album Hello Master from Amazon.com. I really like the "Lay Down" track on Guitar Hero III, so I figured I would give the album a try.
Week four - purchased Aimee Mann's album The Forgotten Arm. Everything that she writes is worth listening to. Unlike most albums in which I like 2 to 3 songs, I tend to like the entirety of her albums, with certain songs being my favorite at different times.

2. Camarilla - nothing. I think I got MC 14 if I get off my lazy butt and transfer everything into the locked totals from my MC 13 audit. Also, I have begun the process of converting my mage. So far all I have done is move all of my xp over from the old character sheet into the new. Oh, and I may have to reproxy my vampire character to a scene that ended 8 weeks ago.

3. Gaming - went to Chattanooga for the Railroad gaming thing. Played four games, 18GL, 1861, 1824, and 18Kit. I bought a game, 18WEST, which we played this weekend and have found an unbalancing factor which will now have to be accounted for in future games.
Robert bought 1861 from Funagain, 18GL, 1841 from Deep Thought Games and one other from Deep Thought Games, which is similar to 1824, but actually available in the US. Mayfair has a couple of games - 1825 and 1829 Phase 3, but I haven't played them, and have found that 1835 and 1870 are much harder to get into than the Deep Thought Games. Considering buying premade 18AL and 18GA.

4. Video Games - This weekend, I did nothing but. I have gotten all songs on Guitar Hero III to 5 stars on Medium except for Raining Blood by Slayer. That song is just sick. I just beat Slash on Hard, so I am making progress, but mostly squeeking by with 3 star performances. Still, I am improving.

5. Upcoming week - This weekend is the featured game of the month in Gainesville, which isn't too far... but... it is also Super Bowl weekend, and I want to watch. Further, my daughter has a dance competition in Atlanta, but most of the Atlanta peeps are going to the FGOTM instead of their own game. My wife states that I only have to go to one dance competition this year, and that I may be better off going to a later one, when she will have gotten more practice in. This being the first one of the season, she may not do as well as some of the later ones. So, I don't yet have an answer as to what I am doing this weekend.

On a sadder note, the CEO of my company passed away Tuesday morning. I went to high school with his daughter and son-in-law, I have worked for him for roughly 12 years. He was fun to be around both at work and at play. One of my fondest memories of him is heading out to Lake Martin and he and I jet skiing all around the lake one afternoon. He was diagnosed with Cancer 8 weeks ago and the cancer aggressively attacked this basically healthy 64 year old man, and he was unable to respond to the Chemo. I will miss him.
