Weekly Update 7.7
Skipped a week.
1. Music - Week six - purchased Steve Winwood's Arc of a Diver. Not as commercial as his later forays, an excellent album.
Week seven - purchased Liz Phair's Somebody's Miracle. For years I have been thinking I like Liz Phair, but never really listened to too much of her stuff.
also purchased two albums by Michael Penn that were 1.99 each used. Michael Penn is brother to Sean Penn and probably best known for his song "No Myth" in 1989. He is married to Amy Mann.
2. Camarilla - stated elsewhere that I got MC14. Other than that, kicking myself for missing the Silver Ladder scene. Really haven't put much effort into the camarilla lately, kinda in a wait and see mode until summer.
3. Gaming - Played a good game of 18Scan on Wednesday night and I almost won, but lost. Played 1861 over the weekend, trying to be in the gaming store a little bit more and support it. I came in second but only beat the third player person by 6 dollars. This is neat since our scores were in the 5K range. Looking at picking up a custom set of poker chips for play with the 18XX games, but I may have to save up.
4. Video games - Sierra didn't like Drawn to Life and I never really sat down to play it. In the mail on the way to us is Rayman's Raving Rabbids 2 and Brain Age 2: More Training in Minutes a Day. The more I read about Nintendo DS and all the cool wifi stuff it can do, I may take Sierra's away from her.
5. Television - I am enjoying the Sarah Connor Chronicles, but I am not overwhelmed. In fact, nothing is overwhelming me this season. Heroes was okay, but Peter seems so very stupid. Call me elitist, but I like watching characters who are smarter and more quick-witted than I am.
