Question: Why do most of my friends have their entries friends protected?

My parents started poking around near the time I turned 18, and given that, and the fact that I had a few people who I really had NO CLUE who they were commenting on my entries every so often . . . There are things I say that I really don't want certain people seeing. You know? It's my journal. I should be able to control who reads it to some extent.

I did make a new journal where I could talk more about fan-type things, and I'm making a point of keeping that one unlocked. I don't post in it very often, though.

I like having at least a partial idea of who knows what about me. There's not much personal stuff I post on here anyways, but I'm a pretty private person in general.
