I think I understand what you're saying, and really you shouldn't be so self absorbed.

You should really be asking people questions to hear what they have to say even if you already have your own answers. Also, stop thinking about what you will maybe be near the singularity, since it's not necessarily happening soon, and truthfully it's just a diversion to stop paying to how you are now.

If Jack spends all his time thinking about how happy he will be on the day that he gets to the other side of the street, he will never be in the present moment. He will never actually cross the street.

Oh by the way here's an idea that struck me the other day. Something along the lines of Heisenburg's uncertainty principle. [long winded explanation deleted] Anyway, the idea is this: A really nifty piece of technology that only works as long as one does not observe how it works. In essence, an almost faith based technology.
