Despite all of the very squee-worthy moments in this episode, not a whole lot actually happened. The Romo and Lee plot was almost TOO obvious and I was disappointed that we didn't see any of the basestar. I guess one of my main/only complaints about 4.0 is that there's so much going on that they could only cover 2-3 of the storylines per episode. And I know you like Tigh and Caprica, but it still doesn't do it for me. I don't know. I need to think about it some more. Oh, and "interogating the prisoner" is the best euphemism I've heard in a long time for knocking someone up. Husker and Roslin 4-eva!!!
It took awhile for this episode to warm me up, but when I got it, it became one of my favorites. All four seasons, Roslin and Adama have been trying to keep the fleet alive, sometimes only by the skin of their teeth. But now, it's time for Bill to acknowledge that that isn't enough for him. Life isn't worth living unless he can LIVE, you know? And finally coming out with his love for her is what he needs to do.
Actually, when you think about it, the idea ofsine qua non is integral to the show. Adama's always asking himself what the point of surviving is, unless you're worthy of it. I think this episode is totally key. Plus also, it sets up the next episode which I LOVE.

Loved your explanation of sine qua non, btw.
