Sometimes, A Great Notion is Depressing

Before I get into the nitty gritty, I just want to say that I don't know why I'm surprised, but I am. I am surprised that once again this show has kicked me in the face with its awesomeness, and constant ability to throw things at me that I do not see coming, good or bad. And for this episode, it was all bad.

Sometimes A Great Notion was so frakking depressing and I mean that in a good way. The reactions all fit perfectly and I've been thinking about Dualla's death scene all day. Like you and most others I imagine, I've never much cared for her personal life, but to set it up like that, with Lee and Hera and her incandescent happiness and then...gone
