Great recap and you are pretty much completely right about everything. (I figure you don't know me, so it would be best to start off with flattery. How am I doing so far?)

I loved this episode, but seriously I'm starting to wonder if we're going to get any kind of a happy ending or if I'm going to make it there because, yes, I am dying a little with each of these recent episodes.

I was wanting blood from both Gaeta and Zarek before the episode started, but by the end they had me at least feeling a little sympathy for Gaeta. I won't lie and say I'll miss what he turned into, but it was still sad. Zarek, on the other hand...

I was just wondering the same thing about the happy ending. I don't necessarily expect a storybook/fairytale ending, but I do think I will be disappointed if there isn't some sort of satisfying, soul-uplifting conclusion. I mean, think back to seasons one and two, before it got super dark. Always all the time there were these little moments of joy stuck in between all the crap. I need more of those.

Re: Zarek. I think it's hilarious that everybody hates Zarek now, and that poor Richard Hatch is doing his darndest to make people stop hating him. I think I would have been more inclined to sympathize if he hadn't murdered the entire Quorum in cold blood.
