This is completely unrelated to Dan Savage's news flash, but....hello from Allison Green, whose "Letter to Saharla" you posted in August. I just googled myself and found it. It's very cool to see someone paying attention to my work.

Are you ever in Seattle? (Dan Savage lives here, too.)

Hello!

Thanks for commenting in my too-seldom-updated journal.

I stumbled across your piece in "The Teacher's Voice" and enjoyed it tremendously. I was thinking of submitting work there myself, but the only "education" themed piece I have (I'm a recovering high school teacher) might be too didactic for the magazine.

As it happens, I do enjoy Seattle, and have had the opportunity to go there a few times for readings and events, but I have never met Dan Savage. (I have read most of his books though...)

Do you have work in any other spots I might find?

best,
Eitan

I have a novel, Half-Moon Scar (St. Martin's, 2000). Pretty different from that piece in The Teacher's Voice, though. Nothing else online.

You should try The Teacher's Voice. They're interested in political work.

Next time you're in Seattle, let me know: agreen63@comcast.net.
