If a friend started reading your journal today, what would you need to fill them in on so they could understand what you're writing about?

I haven't written in it today, but if they were to read what is already in it, I think I'd need to fill them in on a lot. *rubs forehead* A WHOLE awful lot xD You see, I don't really write in a story-coherent way
