The words flow out of Finn like he’s reading a poem, but they run deep for both him and Becky. He states in not so many words that he’d be wrestling forever, “until the wheels come off”, and Becky wonders what it would be like to wrestle until she couldn’t anymore.
It was different for her, of course, she’d left wrestling and come back. The fact that she’d come back was something enough, but she left in the first place, and that got to her sometimes. But during the time she was away, Becky had tried many different things, from teaching to acting, from flight attending to waitressing, which meant she knew life after the wheels came off. She knew how it felt to leaving wrestling behind.
And she knew, like Finn, that there was nothing else in the world that beat it. Wrestling was her life now, and she’d never go back. Yes, she thinks with a smile as Finn laughs about chicken farms, she wouldn’t mind infinity.
