What essay???

I feel so out of touch with my friends, and paranoid that life is rolling on without me. Regale me with details of your lives!! *panicked, pathetic look*

Enjoy time with your parents, and Cate Blanchett's brilliant performance in ELIZABETH. That alone is worth putting up with a precarious relationship.

(Besides, I love your parents!! Try strict old-fashioned Chinese parents still suffering shell-shock-from-a-Communist-regime on for size. Though I love them too....maybe I just love parents.)

YOU of all people should rent it. It will change your life.
