This year, unlike any other year, I've had a strange superstition come over me every single time I write the date on anything. I simply need to write the Year, not just the date. Hey, why "Oct. 6" as your sample date?

'cause that one has, for me (particularly in 2006) some mighty special significance, but curious why you chose it I am I am.
