I like my memes

Because I'm bored and alone and have been wanting to do this for a while, here are two roleplay memes.

Pick a character and I will give and explain the top five ideas/concepts/etc I keep in mind while roleplayinging that character that I believe are essential to accurately depicting them. Any and all characters welcome (including ones I haven't ( Read more... )

- He may be a Fay prototype in many ways, but that happy front of his isn't just a front. He'll exaggerate it when he needs to, but he's genuinely a happy-go-lucky dork and he enjoys being that way when he can. He didn't spend his childhood in a pit of angst and he doesn't have any Horrible Secret that he secretly angsts about under that n_n... and even if he did, he deals with it a hell of a lot better than Fay. I will insist on this until CLAMP prove me wrong ( ... )

- Ashura

- Setsuka's thoughts on how canon turned out, in general

Ashura narrow_my_bed January 19 2011, 23:15:44 UTC
- YASHAYASHAYASHAYASHA. Even if they never come out and say it, Ashura has an army of people that freaking adore him. None of them matter enough for him to want to go on living; it's Yasha all the way for this kid. While Ashura loves other people very easily and very deeply, none of them can ever come close to how he feels about Yasha. He has a one-track mind to rival daddy's, too, and Yasha will always be his top priority, the first one he'll think of, and so on.

- He has no problem with seeing people die, or to talk about their dying. I've seen people play Ashura as if he can't even stand to say the word "die", and... that's not his deal at all. Death has been a constant for Ashura from the day he awakened; he's seen his companions kill and he's killed dozens of people himself without a second thought. It's the death of people he loves - or the loved ones of those people - that he has such a problem with. Enemies just don't seem to count at all ( ... )

She was confident she'd turn out to be right eventually, so it didn't come as a surprise. It's not like she cares a whole lot either way, though, so mostly she's just been faintly amused at her son's epic fail. And Subaru is pretty. She thinks the older one seems kind of boring, but oh well, that's love for you.

Second meme: Mong Ryong on all the girls in Kiseki.

- She's not a shy or insecure person you hear that, MKR anime? Considering her reserved body language and her quietness it may seem like she is at first, but she's really quite confident in her intelligence and her strength, and she won't hesitate to approach people and take action if need be. She's also not selfless. Sure, she says that "for the sake of the people that love her, she needs to care for herself", but she really does mean that, and cares for herself accordingly. She won't risk her life unless it's for a really worthy cause and there's no other option, she'll ask for help when she needs it and not overwork herself needlessly ( ... )

Mong Ryong narrow_my_bed January 20 2011, 09:35:55 UTC
They be very pretty and in his Mong Ryong way, he crushes hopelessly on a whole bunch of them. He's used to women being pretty submissive from home, so the iron will and kickass-ness of so many of the girls in Kiseki is a pleasant surprise for him. Mong Ryong is good at reading people, and it's plain to see how a lot of the women here have deep issues and/or sucky canons, which saddens him, but he won't ask reasons since it's none of his business.
