I've read only 37. There seems to be some double counting, though. I don't think Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and Hamlet should be separate entries from the Complete works of Shakespeare and the Chronicles of Narnia.
I've read half of/most of another few, though (like Shakespeare - haven't read all the plays, and I only made it about half way through Middlemarch, Tess of the D'Urbervilles and Far from the Madding Crowd).
BTW, you should totally read Brideshead Revisited and Persuasion, which are two of my absolute favorite books.
I agree with the double counting, I thought of that myself while I was reading through the list. Thank you for the suggestions of Brideshead Revisited and Persuasion, I will definitely read them!
Ohhhh...You read Crime and Punishment in Russian? I have not read A Town Like Alice, On the Beach, North to the Night, or D-Day. I have read The French Liutenant's Woman, and I agree it should have been included. I will look for the others though. Thanks for the suggestions!~
