I want an epic to read and this looks awesome, but I wanna know if I could read it on and off or would I be stuck to it like Glue...

Late in replying, but I have two friends who adore A:TLA whose opinions I trust completely, and they are addicted so I'd certainly take the plunge.

Granted, I've not read it, bu I've read something else the author wrote based on The Hunger Games and zie seems pretty solid.
