So, would anybody like to beta a 76k+ fic by next Friday? :D (I've scared you all off, haven't I?) Spoiler cut for the summary in case anybody's really worried about keeping things super-anonymous until the reveals:
Title is "Man of Dreams". It's a one-sided Hashirama/Madara fic, and it is very stream-of-consciousness and stuffed with wonky grammar. Expect run-ons and fragments galore. It's a tragedy (not just "tragedy" as in "everybody's miserable at the end," but "tragedy" as in "the hero's life sucks and it's all his own fault") and of course it's sort of a romance, except it's entirely one-sided and so not very romantic romance. There's also some humor, mostly of the dark variety as the fic goes on. Not gonna lie, it gets pretty dreary. (I'm so mean to Hashirama.) Running themes are the unreliability of one's perceptions, and dreams. The plot itself follows from the first time Hashirama sees Madara to Hashirama's death, and mainly talks about the founding and first few years of Konoha.
The main help I need is with characterization. Since we know next to nothing about the characters I'm writing about (main characters Hashirama and Madara, supporting characters Tobirama and Mito), really, I just need to make sure they're fairly consistent with what we DO know, and that the way they come across is the way I meant for them to come across. After that, my next concern is... er... plot, I guess? Or style? Basically, this was an enormous, unwieldy thing to write, and I want to make sure that it isn't an enormous, unwieldy thing to read.
