A pretty good chapter. Enjoyed the comedy from Team Guy. And who knew Orochimaru was so funny? So now he is worried about some creapy guy doing god knows what to Sasuke? LOL

I really wish we had found out who the mysterious foot was near Sasuke, but hopefully we will next week. Agree with you. It can't be Kabuto, but who is it? Someone who was in the background but known?

I was really surprised at how Black Zetsu was able to intercept Dark Kurama. Now that was an inventive twist. I do wonder how Naruto will fight without Kurama. He is still capable of using sage mode isn't he, even without Kurama? Well, it will be interesting to find out.

Hm, I had forgotten about Sage Mode. It seems like he would still be able to use it, yeah. In which case maybe he would just use those powers the same as always...well, I guess we'll find out next week, so at least we won't be in suspense long, heh.

Thanks for the review!

To me the chapter also was kind of disappointing, if my expectations weren't very low already. I had also hoped for some action, but again there's a lot of side-plot without a point (Minato's backflash, Team Gai).

My impression is that Juugo wants to prevent Orochimaru from taking Sasuke's body. He would not have wanted Kimimaru to be taken by Orochimaru, and he does not want Sasuke to be taken. But maybe I am wrong. (Juugo's logic in this matter is a bit weird.)

the obvious answer, of course, is that everyone in this manga wants to be Hokage.

Lol

(otherwise Kushina's expectations would be creepy.)

At this point of the story I am happy about every successful action of the bad guys. So Black Zetsu was able to steal the Yin half of the Kyuubi - wonderful.

I am pretty certain that ignoring the Sage's tools will contribute to Madara's downfall.

His fighting style is based around having massive amounts of chakra and endurance, but without the kyuubi, he would have to fight in a whole new way. That would ( ... )

Agreed on the flashback, but I think the Team Gai bit will end up being important, because they found the Sage tools. I'm guessing they'll arrive with them in the nick of time. The sudden comedy bit was a little abrupt, considering the main action is Naruto dying, but I do think it will turn out to be relevant soon.

My impression is that Juugo wants to prevent Orochimaru from taking Sasuke's body.

It was chapters and chapters ago, so I don't totally remember, but I think Juugo's thing was he wanted to fulfill Kimimaro's wishes or something now that Kimimaro is dead? Or something? And remember, Kimimaro wanted Orochimaru to take over his body and was unhappy that he was too ill to be useful. The impression I got from this chapter is that Juugo is debating: he knows that Orochimaru possessing Sasuke is what Kimimaro wanted, but then Karin will try to prevent it, and maybe he isn't sure what he himself should do about it.

(otherwise Kushina's ( ... )

That occured to me too. That is why I was a little disappointed by the chapter. All that build up for Minato to give Naruto Dark Kurama, to have BZ take it at the last second. All those flashbacks about Minato wanting to protect his son, only to fail. I really hope Minato has something up his sleeve or else those flashbacks will seem meaningless.

Ah, but things can go wrong even if one is fully determined to save one's precious persons. Well, in Real Life. Not in this manga.

Very true. While the manga is not always realistic, there have been instances where people fail. Minato wouldn't be the first person unable to save someone.

Thanks for the review. I too agree that ignoring the Sage's tools is probably a bad thing, especially since Tenten was especially proficient at using the fan.

So if the foot isn't kabuto, who is it? I thought maybe it would be Izuna but then I don't know if Madara would be swayed by anything right now, my other thought was Yamato or Anko because I don't believe Karin has met either of them, and I think having been imprisoned and used for so long, they probably won't have the friendliest chakra right now.

Anyhow, i agree taking the other Kurama chakra would be great because when Naruto would be revived, it would put him on the same level playing field as everyone else.

And finally, with all the trouble they're having with Naruto, should we assume that Killer B is dead? I personally don't mind since I found him pretty annoying.

I don't think Killer B would be killed off panel in that way. He and Naruto had become best buddies. I think he was able to use the same trick he used when he fought Sasuke and escaped extraction. There was actually a panel where you saw one of Bee's tentacles being cut off (the chapter where Madara takes their tailed beasts).

You maybe right, but but wasn't the Hachibi absorbed? Otherwise, how did Madara achieve six paths? So I don't really understand how B would hide in a tentacle if there was no more Hachibi??

I don't have an answer for that. I'm hoping we get some clarification soon on this point. I'm not going to be satisfied until I see a panel of Bee actually deceased. If he was really dead why haven't we seen that yet? Bee may be as dead as Obito is :)
