I was always expecting a Naruto/Sasuke tag team (who wasn't?) but their current power-up is an actual deus ex machina. The younger generation didn't overcome the old - they were literally handed power by Grandpa Plotdevice. I get that this was necessary because Kishi goofed and wrote himself into a corner by making Madara too strong, but it still disappoints me a little. As for Sasuke and Naruto's implausible seamless teamwork - yep, I agree. But this was glossed over last year when Team Seven were reuinted, so it would seem strange for them to suddenly have trouble working together now. Though trouble using their new powers in tandem, maybe...
I also am not sure why they don't just stab Black Zetsu. I mean, he doesn't seem to be able to attack them, and she has a knife right there...This is a really good point. Obito is going to die anyway once Black Zetsu is gone, so acting like Obito is BZ's meatshield is stupid. But of course, the real reason is Kishi needs Obito to die redeeming himself. I'm guessing he's going to get in the way

As for Sakura, once all the parallels between Ashura/Indra, Mada/Hash, Naruto/Sasuke became known is it really surprising? I only expected her to be able to execute her ninja duties as effectively as her medical duties. Even when Madara and Hashi fought at Vote, Mito's role wasn't emphasized as much. I can't think of any females who were emphasized in any of these parallel relationships except for Kaguya. She became the god like monster that had to be defeated by Hagoromo and his brother. Madara has become the modern day Kaguya in essence.
The relationships between brothers are what Kishi has emphasized since the beginning. And now that Naruto and Sasuke are in effect brothers, there really is no place for her now.
Thanks for the review! It is really a complicated fight, and I am grateful that you untangled it. When the fight started, I thought that it would not be as great as Sasuke's best fights against Deidara, Itachi or Danzou, but at the moment it's really good, and even the obligatory conversation between the good guys is not overlong and does not take too much time.
I have now reread the chapter, and I think I understand now better what's going on. Most of all, in that Limbo-world, all real persons are black, while Limbo-Madara is white. I kept reading and rereading page one and page five, but I am still not certain what Sasuke did. I think he moved somewhere else using his Rinnegan instead of dodging

"Perhaps this is a foreshadowing that the manga will end with Sasuke, who has a more strategic mind, becoming Hokage, while Naruto takes on a more Jiraiya-like support role."
imo, in order for the cycle of hate to be broken this will happen. I see Naruto in more of an embassador role from Konoha to the Shinobi Alliance.
"Regarding Sakura, I actually am not sure that we're meant to think she's hesitating here."
My initial reaction was not good. And if she had instantly destroyed his eye how would she get out of there? I'm wondering if Obito still has enough control to warp her out of there.
"it seems strange for them to just team up and be chatting like old friends."
Not to me. Sasuke returned many chapters ago so they have had more than enough time to get used to fighting together again. Also, as the reincarnations of Ashura/Indra they are already hardwired to be able to work together, aren't they? I'm really enjoying their team work and their chatting reminds me of them pre time skip, but better.
And if she had instantly destroyed his eye how would she get out of there? When Obito kicks the bucket, she can take his other sharingan? Everyone else has one.
