Summary
The original Team Seven face down Madara as he returns from the other dimension with both Rinnegan. He brought Obito with him; only we are informed that "Obito is no more" and that Black Zetsu is the only inhabitant of the body.
Despite her terror of Madara, Sakura leads the assault against him. Using her Byakgou technique she is able to survive being stabbed through the chest and in the process gets close enough to hit him. Or rather, she tries to hit him. Madara is now surrounded by an invisible barrier that repels all of Team Seven's attacks.
Such a pity she couldn't have gotten at least one good smack in...
Madara creates four Limbo clones before flying into the air and using the Rinnegan jutsu chibaku tensei to create large spheres which he then tries to drop on his opponents. Sasuke uses his Susanoo to destroy the spheres while Naruto offers support from the ground.
With Team Seven distracted, Madara ascends towards the moon. Breaking off his headband he recalls the words on the stone tablet: that 'When one who has the power of samsara [Rinne - Rinnegan means "samsara eye"] nears the moon an eye shall open and project itself onto the moon to bring forth the infinite dream.' A third eye appears on Madara's forehead and the chapter ends with him initiating Infinite Tsukuyomi.
In honor of Infinite Tsukuyomi, the whole page was necessary. I apologize.
My Thoughts
(I don't have too much to say because the action seemed quite brief this week.)
Infinite Tsukuyomi: I'm so pleased Madara seems to have temporarily succeeded because I've been dying to know how it works. We've been told it's similar to The Matrix in that humans will be batteries for the Tree, but I'm curious as to whether the illusion world is shared by all or if everyone gets their own heaven (as one person's "perfect world" might not be anothers). Though it's very likely Madara will simply force his own vision of what a perfect reality is onto everyone else, but that will still be interesting to see.
Sakura: I'm pleased with her this chapter, even if she did have to be saved. She's been shown to be (rightfully) terrified of Madara on mulitple occassions but she overcame her fear and attacked him anyway.
Obito: I think there's an art error this chapter: Obito's sharingan is on the wrong side. Or is it that his right eye is closed because he's dead and Madara put the sharingan he stole off Kakashi into the other socket? Anyway, I'm on the fence over whether he's actually gone or not. What do you guys think?
